Sealing bags and other polymer packages is performed by method of end-soldering. Melting and tight putting together the container edges provides creating a strong seam preventing contact of the content with ambience.
End-soldering knives used at the conveyor lines operate at heating up to +250 °C. Due to this fast and quality packaging of the products is performed.
However, in process of soldering, the melted polymer material is sticking to the metal surface of the knives what causes the equipment operation productivity reduction.
Consequences of sticking:
- Forming carbon deposits on the surface of the end-soldering tools, reduction of their service lifetime
- Need in stopping the conveyor often to clean the parts
- Reducing quality of the created seam, increasing amount of the defective items
To solve one of the most acute issues of operating the end-soldering elements, MODENGY 1007 anti-adhesive coating is used. It forms a thin but strong layer on the operational side of the knives that acts as a barrier between the tool and the packaging material.
The coating doesn’t hinder the heat exchange between the contact surfaces, doesn’t get damaged at heating up to +350 °C, and in case of overheating for a short while.
Use of this product provides productivity growth of the packaging equipment, and its service lifetime extending. The anti-adhesive and anti-sticking layer needs no refreshing, and effectively prevents sticking for several years.
