One of the common methods to make items of metals and their alloys is casting. Heated liquid metal is poured into a special mould (disposable or reusable). After the metal gets cold it transfers into solid state taking the shape given by the inner surface of the moulding equipment.
Use of disposable moulds containing molding clay is applicable in process of producing piece products.
For mass production of unified items reusable moulds made mainly of steel are used.
Metals casting by using the reusable steel moulds is related with the common issue lowering quality of the items, that is melted metal sticking to the inner surface of the mould.
After taking a blank out of a mould some amount of metal remains on its walls which is hard to be removed.
To prevent melted metals and alloys from sticking to the casting moulds surface, MODENGY 1007 and MODENGY 1054 anti-adhesive coatings are used.
They create a resistant separating layer on the walls of the casting equipment that hinders direct contact between the melted metal and the mould surface. Due to this, need in labor-intensive cleaning of the accessories from the stuck metal is excluded, and productivity of the items production process increases.
For the casting molds operating at up to +350 °С, MODENGY 1007 coating is used, and MODENGY 1054 is applied onto the equipment functioning at heating up to +650 °С.
Use of MODENGY anti-adhesive coatings enables to improve quality and rate of making the metal items by method of casting, and the extend service lifetime of the moulding equipment.
