The process of making automobile tires can be for convenience divided into several stages: rubber mixture production, making a so called ‘green tire’, tire tread baking, vulcanization, and quality control.
The main tools of the production line are the breaker drums which all wheel base parts are set on one by one. The drums combine and press the blanks, and as a result of that they are united into an item in shape of a future tire. To create tire tread, the molds are used.
The rubber material sticks onto the drum segments and molds in the process of operating, and as a result, quality of the finished products reduces and the equipment parts wear faster. The maintaining specialists have to spend time for cleaning the segments from the rubber material.
To solve this issue of rubber sticking, MODENGY 1014 and MODENGY 1007 anti-friction solid-film coatings having high anti-adhesive properties are used at the stage of drum segments and molds production.
Due to this, automatic line productivity improves, and equipment maintenance costs reduce.
These products are applied by the standard painting methods, and polymerize at heating in the kiln. The resistant layer of MODENGY coatings provides uninterrupted drums operating for the entire period of their functioning with no need in refreshing the layer.
