The devices for hydrocarbon extracting offshore function under tough conditions. High humidity, temperature jumps, corrosively active aggressive environment, and other climate features lead to cutting down service lifetime and reliability of the equipment mechanisms.
The conventional lubricating materials are low effective under such conditions since they are washed off, squeezed out of the contact places, require frequent renewing.
The optimal solution is using MODENGY anti-friction solid-film coatings (AFSFCs). They are applied onto the following units and mechanisms:
- Threaded fasteners – they prevent jamming and galling while tightening up, make mounting and dismantling easier, stabilize friction in the thread, protect against corrosion
- Thread of the pump-compressor, drilling, and casing pipes – they reduce time of the tripping-in and lifting-up operations, prevent corrosion forming, extend service lifetime of the thread
- Adapters and clutches of the processing equipment – they form the protective and anti-scuff layer
- Stop-and-adjust valves – they provide minimal effort to move the parts and retain their corrosion resistance at the same time
- Blowout system preventers – they reduce friction of the moving parts, and prevent sticking asphalt-tar-paraffin deposits onto the case. The materials retain their properties even after a long downtime of the equipment to provide stable performance of the mechanism in case an emergency situation occurs
- Bearings and slide guideways of the load-lifting mechanisms – they form a resistant layer effectively protecting against corrosion under marine conditions
MODENGY 1002, MODENGY 1005, MODENGY 1066, MODENGY 1014 and MODENGY PTFE - A20 coatings areused at producing and maintaining the oil platforms.
